I have created a simple layout for a rooms to let (http://www.petrosoft.gr/aegina/default.htm)
What do you think..?.is it so simple that attracts no attention?

Simple can be a good thing.
It's a strong layout, in my opinion. Only 1 xhtml error to fix. (http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A//www.petrosoft.gr/aegina/default4.htm) Colors are ok. I like the menu.
Is the site for you or for a client? What attracts the most attention is a good service respresented well by good content. I think the design will work just fine.

It is about a client who is also a friend of mine...
The photo on the upper left is given by him and is not so good...

Looks nice. Now if I could just read greek. =P
Although, I really like the navigation for some reason. Can't tell you why, but I just do.

I like the way you will incorporate an english version. Granted it's almost a given considering the content.
I think the header needs work. The 'Aegina Rooms' part needs to moved down a bit. It's sitting right at the top edge of the screen.
i know there kudos on the navigation but to me it's plain. Yeah thats good and simplicity works but it lacks something. i like the rollovers although you see how the first one the image is filled in? Can you do that with the other ones? Give it a liitle something?
It just looks very plain and uninviting. Not bad but not good either.
If you look at Gary's page you can see a little differance. Grantedhis a little more graphic but the site has the same audience and same goal in advertising.
A little more inviting.

Thanks for your valuable feedback.
Problem is that my skill on graphics is less than moderate.
Anyway, you are right, it is not bad, but it is not good either. I have to find a way to make it better.
Photoshop experience! Just try out some tutorials, for eg making shadows, blending images, a good place to start <http://www.photoshop101.com/>
The icons used are too small (make them larger a little) and vague = it is not saying that much as it should
Perhaps use the map as a background for the paragraph text with sticking the
city of Aegina a little out on the top of the <p>
The color scheme blue-rose works well
The banner needs some extra - it does not stand out as it should
