I was wanting to screenshot a few pictures from a DVD that i have been watching on my computer, so i pressed the screenshot button and then paste the picture into Paint, but that doesn't work as when I turn the DVD player off and view the picture that I had screenshot, it just turned up as a black picture, and i was wondering how i could take a screenshot of it without it doing this?

Shouldn't one be able to take a picture of a frame in the program itself? I use InterVideo's WinDVD and it has this feature.

The answer is fairly simple, found it out ages ago lol :p

I take it you are using WMP?

If so, just go to Tools > Options > Perfomance, and then set Video Acceleration to None.

Then you should be able to print screen the video. :)

Is there anything wrong with just using CTRL+Printscreen to take a snap shot. Then, paste it into your paint prog, crop the outside of the image leaving you with just the DVD picture?

Try it and you'll find out. :)

The print screen will capture a black screen sometimes.

hey Bournes*Babe

firstly if you have not found out how yet, do the following

download windows media player classic if you do not already have it here

http://www.free-codecs.com/Media_Player_Classic_download.htm

Then open your dvd with it.

then when you are at the point you want to take an image
click

file> save image.

thats it, and it only has the pic of the video you do not need to do anything to it its already cropped..

enjoy!

also if any1 can help with this http://www.codingforums.com/showthread.php?t=73104
i would be very happy
