First, here are the two files I'm using:
http://www.reallycoolspace.com/upload.html
http://www.reallycoolspace.com/upload.js (the js file, the html file links to this)
The problem:
This might sound vague, but there's no better way to describe it. Sometimes, on certain patches of IE6 (all on SP2) the preview image won't show up. The preview functionality works only in IE also, so it definitely doesn't show in Firefox. We've figured that more often the larger size images won't show, usually between 1.5 to 5 megs. On my computer, this tended to be the very first image I open, and the rest would show until I restarted IE, cleared my cache, and moved the pics to a different folder. On another computer, it tended to be more random. That computer had a little earlier version of IE.
If someone can replicate this problem (in essense, preview images not showing up in IE), could you please take a look at the code and see if you can figure out why IE is doing this.
I would really appreciate any ideas or any knowledge of IE bugs that could be causing this to happen. As a side note, popping up an alert after adding the preview solved the problem 99% of the time. I'm guessing this has something to do with IE redrawing the page.
If I forgot to include some info, please let me know.
Thanks for any help!
