Catching Windows Media Player Events

Does anyone know how to catch WMP events - like PlayStateChange - in Firefox/Non-IE browsers?

Firefox can do that, but only if you have the Mozilla ActiveX Plug-In (http://www.iol.ie/~locka/mozilla/plugin.htm) installed.
