On another forum FusionXHost I was looking for a program that would execute a program for a preset amount of time and then to stop it from running by remvoing keys, I also have posted the request on a site called toolkitzone.com
Here is the message on FXH:
Why would you want to create a trial for commercial software if you didn't even write the software? A job like this would be easiest if it was hard coded into the software itself. There are tons of scripts out there that will be able to validate license keys and make trials of software, but they are often available in the source, and must be incorporated into the program itself.

I'm not sure if it would be possibly, but you could somehow encrypt the program, and create a wrapper program that would execute the main program for 30 days before removing the keys from the hard drive so the program can never be executed again.

Well certainly it would be possible. Almost anything is possible given time and knowledge.

The question is why would it be needed since this functionality could be written into the original program itself.

If the other reply you mentioned is correct about trying to create a trial for someone elses commercial software, then I don't think anyone would even be interested in attempting it.
