Box wraps below menu when browser resized

I am trying to prevent the right hand content box from wrapping down below the left side menus when the browser is made narrower. I thought float: left would do it, but it hasn't helped. Can't figure out what I am doing wrong!

You seem to have a case of divitis. Everything doesn't have to be in a div. Like those paragraphs in divs that have align="left" for what? Default alignment is left. Then the table you got, I think its unecessary. In Firefox there is a horizontal scrollbar. Check out this example of how to get a similar layout
