I need some help

i want to create a site and i need some help.
i want to create a button like a "stargate".
who now a javascript to help me rotate the cercel. and when i go with the mouse over the cercel it must stop.
or can somebody give me a link to a site were they have this ideea.
(i fing a site made in flash, but i don`t find the link :( )
if you know a site that have the button like a "stargate" pls give me the link.(i want to see a model)
to understand what i want to make i made a paint for you.

i want to make the red cercel rotate, and to stop when a person what to press on a button, and also i what to activate the buttons.

i try to made something like that in flash but i don`t know how to stop the cercel when i go with my mouse over.

i hope that somebody can help me.

Do you know how to make animated gifs? You can make a gif that spins like you want it to. Then make a gif that doesn't spin at all. Then you can use javascript or CSS to create the rollover.

and the buttons?
the same "stargate" must contain 7 buttons.
how can i divide the cercel to have 7 diferite buttons?
and i don`t know how to made a *.gif :(

i made a "stargate" :) and i want that the black obiect to be a button, and when a go with my mouse over it, i want to stop spining. and when i press on the black obiect to send me on a page.
or how can i do?
