best way to record lectures to the web

I want to know the best way to record lectures to the web.
Now i've been recording with my mp3 recorder and then uploading but the quality is not good.

is there a better way to do this?

Maybe a tape recorder would work then use a line-in to get them to your system.

someone suggested recording straight with a laptop.
sounds like an expensive option and I was wondering if it's really better or not.

That would work to but if you don't currently have a laptop then I guess the mp3 player would be the way to go for now. I take my laptop to class most of the time but having a microphone out on my desk will look a bit funny to the other students and the teacher. I have a microphone on my mp3 player and it records sounds just find. What mp3 player do you have? I have a Rio Carbon

I don't think we'd mind ;) Besides, maybe you could go back over the lecture since you never actually pay attention in class, you're too busy helping people on here :thumbsup:

well i don't have a spear laptop and I know the quality of my mp3 is awful.
Are there different types of mp3 recorders and would you suggest a better one?
the one I have now I have to switch it from a act file to an mp3 before uploading.

Mine actually records in wav. I have 2gb of space on my mp3 player to play with. Again I ask what mp3 player you have. A tape recorder might be the best way to for you. Then use a line-in to get the recording on your computer.

Tape recorder is annoying as then I have to hook it up to convert to mp3.
