Hi,

My friend gave me .bin and .cue files from his family holiday in Germany this summer.

I have files in the format of .bin and .cue files.

The .bin file is 790 MB in size and the .cue file is 178 bytes in size.

I have opened the .cue file with Nero Burning ROM and it worked OK. I played it in a VCD-Compatible Stand-Alone DVD Player and it worked fine.

However, I was wondering if it is possible to burn these files onto a DVD-R so that they will play in a stand-alone DVD Player that did not play SVCD/VCDs ??

TIA.

I think you can import them into Adobe Premiere Pro and then burn them to dvd. I have Premiere Pro so might go and see if that's possible.

Nero can burn image files that have a cue file, so you should just be able to select your DVD burner, put a blank DVD in, and tell it to burn from image. It is definetly at least worth a try.

I can confirm that is possible.

Yes, i have burned with Nero before and was aware that you could burn .cue and .bin files with it.

However, in this case when I tried to burn with Nero I inserted a DVD-R and it spat it back out and said it wanted a CD-R??

it is not possible to burn bin and cue files to DVD without converting them first.

You only need the BIN file, the cue file is a waste of time.

You need to use some software called SVCD2DVD. This will convert the BIN file into VOB files, then you use nero to make a new DVD project and copy the contents ot eh VIDEO_TS folder onto the disc..

Hope that helps

Jon
