Very nice. The navigation could you some work but otherwise great job.

P.S. I know that you said ignore the content, but that motto may affect the companies business becasuse it takes away the professionalism of the company.

I prefer the previous design you did, but they are both very good designs. I prefer your title/header/logo in your new version then the old version. Both good though.

a few changes;

The header has been finished off, so hopefully you can all see where I was going with it!, your not meant to see one company tag!, but loads of flowing ones!

@nkhtml

I have slighty tweaked the Headings and also made the main navigation bolder and corrected the letter spacing!

@mike

Its one of those puns you just cant resist!, lol!, thanks!

@tim

I now prefer this new version!, hope you'll come round!, thanks!

I am actually happy with this design this time; theres lots of white space, and well layed out text, its simple but it works! I have seen what you said about the strange graphics and have corrected this, it was like i turned the monitor onto the dull setting;

The old one (http://www.dwsystems.net/index2.html)

The new one (http://www.dwsystems.net)

what do u think?, can I finally lay this site design to rest?
thanks, anthony :)

I have added the curves originally planned, and i think it has added the character that the site was missing?
I really like the font, it is arial!,and the best feature of this site in my opinion is the clean clear text?, i need to add a few more graphical elements and obviously the client has to take care of content, but this is mostly a static site so i wont need to do much more.

click here for the very last time (http://www.dwsystems.net)

thanks for all the help!, you know who you are, anthony :)

Little Toaster,

Everything on the site is two dimensional with exception to the nav bar. I am beginning to think it is that element taking away from the design. It seems out of place. I am thinking that if you were to use a flat not gradient image (or even just a background color, #999 on the ends and make the bar itself #ccc) that it would push the design right up and over the top. It is very nice, a stunning design in fact, and I like the improvments you made. But after looking at it today, I think the nav bar is dragging it down a bit. I would reserve your image nav bar and just try my suggestion to see what the feedback is like. If it's good you can go with it maybe, and if not, then just put the bar back.

That's the only suggestion I can come up with. It's got a great look so I don't really have anything else to add.

I hope this helps.
Mike

couldnt really get it to work with the background color/main heading color!

So as a work around I am making the main web graphics 3d(ish), hopefully this will tip those scales!

cheers, Anthony :)

I like the bended effect of the main top nav (a lot!!). The idea of the chip I like ok, top-logowise. The colorscheme is perfect.
Except valid XHTML and valid CSS links, is a nogo for me. Ok for your portfolio or a webdesign blog but not for a client site. Even if it is computer related ...

Maybe a (transparent) rollover effect on the servicepack quadrants could be an idea, the go button idea is there to stay.

How does anyone else feel about having small validation links at the bottom of a clients site?

I must say I am very happy with the bendy metal aswell, and I have always liked the logo. Thankyou!

Thats a nice idea on the service pack images, I will make them preloaded javascript rollovers;
I will try this transparency!, and also I will try a button on / off effect!

thanks for comments, much appreciated, anthony
