PHPBB! by all means the best! www.phpbb.com but you have to have a databse. easy to instal just go into the PHPBB directory and you get all the startup config then when oyu go back itlook just like normal

nut i can doi t work.....what do u mean i must have a database??
In the zip file has a setup.html i run it ....but it does now work:( :( :(

PHPBB is (as the name suggests) a PHP forum which needs (you guessed it) PHP to work. and a database (MySQL, PostgreSQL,
Microsoft SQL Server 7/2000, Microsoft Access). have you got a web host or are you trying to set this up at home or sumthing like that?

so your host supports PHP & mySQL? then just unzip the PHPBB package into a folder and then upload that folder to your web host and then run index.php. that should work

i run index.php
and i am taking the follow error

Probably your host...Why bother with all that when there are scripts that don't require mySQL...as well as remotely hosted boards @ Hotscripts (hotscripts.com) :cool:

zoobie right, if it doesnt work first time then drop it, even though it looks cooler and there arent any ads, its less hassle to go and get a board on a remote host. DONT GET AN EZBOARD ACCOUNT! they are just the worst rip-off ever their account system is wierd and there are huge ads
