What are the must do's and dont's when testing a website?

It depends on what you are testing it for, compatibility, usablility, scalability, etc. And what your goals are with the site.

Basically you should test on a number of different browsers, in a number of different operating systems, at a number of different resolutions.

The main testing (which I would recommend as a minimum), would be to test in IE6/Win and Firefox, at 800*600 and 1024*768.

You'd be best to post a thread for a site review in the correct section - then you'll get more people with different systems reviewing and testing it. :)

It would depend on your target audience, but regardless it couldn't hurt.
