screen sizes how to adapt?

i am not making a site for the minute but i still wanted to know what you people use to adapt to differnt screen sizes. this subject has been treated a few times vaguely in differnt posts but i was still wandering what techniques everybody uses.

Use relative units for everything, and it adjusts fine. If you need to use screen res hacks, then your page really doesn't encompass what CSS, proper markup and web accessibility are about.
