Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Syntax error in UPDATE statement.

Trying to Change Status fill to S
and the others to a null or empty value

Date and Time are probably reserved words, try putting squar brackets around them:

sql4="UPDATE Recycle SET Status='S', UserTaken=NULL ,[Date]=NULL ,[Time]=NULL ,Employer=NULL Where RefNO= '" & Ref & "'"
