Wow, i just spent the last 15 minutes looking and i can't for the life of me find any information that tells me u can preprogram this form element to begin browsing in a particular folder. Tell me it's possbile to do?

No, it's not possible. The RFC 1867 (http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc1867.html) specifies exactly how you can use the file type for uploading from html forms and how it works. As far as I know, there is no way to modify the use of this. But hey, I may be wrong. It happens all the time, haha. But sorry, I don't believe you can.

No, you can't, but if this is for an intranet app (MSIE only), you can use vbscript and createobject to invoke the Windows file browser and specify where to look, then write that to the file input element.
