info on creating customer accounts and upload files

Hello,
Does anyone have any information or tips on how to allow customers to create accounts on my website where I can show them some information including photo images etc, furthermore to allow them to upload files to my webserver. I am using Frontpage authoring tool but my webserver I guess is on Unix servers (Yahoo webhosting services).

For your information, I am looking for something similar to this (see the Webmaster Client Area) http://www.cescripts.com/products.php. This one is for Linux platform and it seems there is recurring charge annually... And I am not sure if it would work for me...
