htaccess redirect not working

hey, this is what i have

why isn't it working?

Did you make your .htaccess on dreamweaver, MS WORD or another program.

In order for it to work it can't contain any binary data besides just the .htaccess data.

On mac I use TextWrangler to do mine.

no... i use an awesome program called editplus :)
