Search CDROM Presentation

Hi,

A client ask me about the possibility of add a search engine to a CDROM presentation where he has many pages with text.

The project hasn't been started yet.

I want to know if is possible to search files, and what is the best way to do that.

I can put all the pages in XMLs and how to search through these?

Suggestions?

What technology is the presentation built in?

is for a presentation on a CDROM with web based interface, then could be Flash, javascript, etc.
