favicon-search engines

i am trying to do the favicon to work but i cant....what i am doing wrong....any idea?
what i must do to put my site to all the search engines?
please give as many infos as u can!how many time they need to put my site to their lists?

:confused: The favicon has nothing to do with search engines. The favicon is an icon that shows in your favourites list and on the address bar.
