windows server 2003 remote saving problem

I have an ASP file on a Windows Server 2003 and when I make changes to it remotely with HTML Kit or DreamWeaver all of a sudden it stops letting me make any changes.

It then seems to cache that file on the server and not allow me to view any changes made to that file?

Can anyone shed any light?

There may be some settings about caching in HTML Kit or Dreamweaver. I know there sure are with FTP software many of which is free if you need to try that:
