View Full Version : problems with links in css

Hi all,

I am having problems with a specified colour for my links in css.

I have specified a grey for my a:link, a:active and a:visited - and i have specified a underlined blue for my a:hover

The problem is that when you rollover a visited link it does not react, i.e it does turn blue and underlined.

i have seen a site (http://www.interactiveser.com/af/isl/index.html )where they have allowed visited links to react to a rollover and don't see why my pages will not do so.

I hope this makes sense to someone!!

Nightfire: a:visited will adopt a:hover's color only while actually hovering of course... otherwise it will have the IE default color

Donal, check the order of your statements - they should be:

a:link { etc}
a:visited { etc}
a:active { etc}
a:hover { etc}

I suspect you may have reversed the order of a:visited and a:hover ...
