Hi,

I am creating a dart scorekeeping program (in VB) (yeah, i know there are some of them downloadable, but i think its fun to create my own) its for 501 game. But for the statistics section, i want to know what is interesting to display to the user. uptil now, i came up with: average points per dart, missed finishes and how many 180's thrown. I dont want to keep track of things like average distance from centre of the board and so on.
Can you give me some hints which data is interesting to show?

thanks,
Roelf

Well, visual's are always more interesting than plain numbers, so howabout a bargraph of each players average pts. per dart and a readout on the most hit locations for each player and as a whole. so you could say that 2 is being hit more than 14 and the top left of the board is being hit more than the bottom right.

maybe you could ask some darts players what information is interesting ;) They might have a better idea of what information would be interesting in a 'real' game.
One suggestion though - how many darts/rounds taken to reach the goal. To me that would be most interesting
