Hi guys, got a question about images...

I have some high quality images of work out equiptment that I need to extract the background from these.

So I need to do a good job getting these images sharp... What is the best way to do this?

I have Fireworks 4 & Photoshop 7... + few other little image editors

Thanks!!

I do a lot of background extraction using photoshop 6 (why would you use anything else?), there are lots of different ways depending on the graphic.

Try these tutorials

This method is simple but results aren't always great

This tutorial shows you the different selection methods, which will give you good quality results, but harder to learn

Like Oztinks, I extracted backgrounds of over thousand images, bought every Photoshop plug in there is, but to my opinion the best tool is Photoshop's own polygonal lasso. Simple, but absolutely great.
