Could somebody have a look at this: http://www.chesterfieldra.wtcsites.com/home.htm and tell me what I could do to improve it.
Cheers

It's generally well built and easy to navigate. It has a simple attractive layout, which is a plus. A few suggestions:

1) the blue background seems a bit strong, either darken or lighten it
2) people generally hate clicking. try to reduce the number of clicks it takes to get to something. for example, in order to get to the message board, i had to click 4 times.
3) label it a little better. if i were looking for the message board, i would have clicked on "contact" first.

Like I said before, it's mostly a well designed site. Good work.

obviously its out of your control, but I hate the onload popups! I also agree that the blue background is to "bright". I would make it more of a navy blue.

If you ask anyone they will all say that they hate the idea of pop-ups, and adverts...

Try hosting with Brinkster (www.brinkster.com), who offer advert free hosting.

If you dont like the url you are given, use something like SmartRedirect (www.smartredirect.com) to shorten your url, which you wont need to do if you are hosting on your own domain.

Otherwise I like the site, and dont really think that the blue is tedious, but find the numerous pop-ups irritating - but that is just me.

Keep it up.

Good luck!

Edit: I dont think that smart redirect is working at the mo.

A clean, straightforward site; i'm not to crazy about light text on a dark background since it limits the use of different styles for i.e. headers, but that's personal.
I would suggest dividing the "Laws of the game" page up into several separate pages (another navigation level) because currently its length is enormous which makes it less inviting to read.
Furthermore, maybe you could emphasize the page header, perhaps by enclosing it in a simple box, perhaps with a different background color or a simple graphic.
