How do I record total hits each day at a certain time automatically

I'm looking for info on how to do this.

I have a site and I want to track the hits each day at say 12:00 without using any 3rd party trending software. Essentially I want to record the hits and either generate an email with the value, or store it in a database.

How do I create a script with ASP that will initiate at a certain server time each day? Is it even possible?

Hello,

store your IIS-Logfile in a database.

Then perform this query to show your daily visitors:

select count(*), left(visitdate,10) from f_history group by left(visitdate,10)
