need help with remote control code and passing variables

I have an order form and I sell necklaces. I want my clients to choose what beads they want so I have a select bead button that opens a pop-up window. I'm having trouble with this part... The pop-up has radio/checkboxes next to the mini images of the beads. They select beads and select ok. The information goes back to the main page and is entered into a text input box.

I can't figure out how to have the variables from the pop-up go to a specific area in the main page.

why not just use window.opener?

call the function using window.opener and pass the information back.
