Well, I don't think you can make such a definitive statement as to say one sex is better at any particular task than another - there are female weighlifters just as there are male child-carers.

But - educational research shows that girls learn more effectively in a single-sex environment, while boys learn more effectively in a mixed-sex environment. This would seem to imply that the current norm of mixed-sex schooling favours boys, and yet statistically, girls do slightly better than boys in school examinations.

So - that would seem to suggest that girls are inherently better at academic learning than boys.

But it might not, and anyway it's not the whole story - being really good at something is far more than academic capabiliity - there's also things like intuition, how your personality affects your work, inate talent (whatever that is). Not to mention motivation - we all have the capacity to excel at things we're simply not interested in.

So you know - any statement that says girls or boys are better than the other at any particular thing, is essentially untrue.
