Is there a free program which enable you to record the screen and the movemets of the mouse in a certain section of the screen? A bit like the Microsoft tutorials.
Any help will be appreciated,
Thanks,

I'm not sure if the first one here works only for games or not but I've heard good things.
FRAPS (http://www.fraps.com/)
If that one doesn't do it I'm sure this one will... Cheers.

Yeah I gotta use that one myself. I plan on getting my own site running pretty serious once my temp contract is up here at my current place of business (2 weeks) at which point I will be creating a slew of Photoshop and Web Tutorials. This will be an excellent tool, and FRAPS is good for demonstrating in-game strategies etc.

I generally just take the screenshot normally, then take another screenshot of the "cursors" folder in thumbnail view, and cut the necessary cursor out of that - you can add a dropshadow to it, and then position it independently, or change its color to draw attention to it, whatever you need.

Yeah, that is similar to how I have always done it and it has the advantage of being a much smaller file. But certain tutorials I want them to know it is real time so they can be wowed by my photoshop prowess. heh.
