Get method puts all your forms contents through the url. The post method sends the information 'invisably'. You can send more information through a form via post. All info sent through get will be stored in the users internet history, so never send any sensitive information via get

POST is used only when sending information to the server. You should never return information from a POST request. It is to update information on the server.
GET on the other hand is only for requesting a resource (document). For instance altering the current view.
ALSO, POST can send Multimedia unprintable chars.
GET is limited to 256chars on older browsers.
Sometimes GET is so simple though, it makes it perfect. You don't need a form to utilize GET.

Well I want to be exact:
http://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc2616/rfc2616-sec9.html#sec9.3 for GET
http://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc2616/rfc2616-sec9.html#sec9.5 for POST
 Kind of confusing isn't it.
