mysql on windows servers

it would not be better on your wallet seeing as mySQL is free and MSSQL is not.

Yeah, I've used MySQL with ASP and IIS plenty of times before with no problems, works great.

I use php 5.0.4 and mysql 4.1 on windows 2000 server, works fine...I've never used ASP with mySQL tho.

I was hoping you would say what you said, looks like I am going to have to go from linux to 2000 or 2003 server hated the thought of having to shell out bucks for mssql.
