How long does google take to look at my site again?Ranger56 08-05-2005, 08:02 AM It has the old site cached and I was just wondering how long until it see's the new one and puts up the new data? Pennimus 08-05-2005, 02:06 PM That depends how good you linking is. If lots of sites link to you then it likely won't take long to respider. Alternatively you can submit a sitemap via google sitemaps. As for the cache, that may well not change anyway, but you can e-mail Google and ask them to remove their cached version if it's something you don't want people to see. iota 08-05-2005, 02:19 PM Ah what about meta tag "revisit-after" ? :) I also wonder how I can remove the cache images for Google Desktop Search. Although I delete files in my computer, they're still in Google Desktop Cache. Pennimus 08-05-2005, 02:30 PM Revisit after is only a suggestion, not an order that has to be obeyed. Plus it won't help if the site currently isn't being visited :-) As for desktop search - *shrug* Have you investigated the program folder to find it's cache or tried searching it's help files? I'm sure they would have built in a delete cache function somewhere. iota 08-05-2005, 02:35 PM Thank you,Pennimus . ;) |
