Looking for a way to do this, possibly with PHP, maybe JS though I think that'll be bulky.
All I found was the eBay API (http://developer.ebay.com/common/api), but you have to sign up for it to use it or something.
Any help is appreciated. If there is no way to do it then just forget it, thanks.

Yes you'll need the API -

That sucks, because as far as I can tell you need register at eBay for that, which isn't really something I want to do. Thanks anyway.

You don't have to pay for limited usage - I registered a while ago to use the API with VB.
Basically they give you a unique code thing which basically shows who is using the API. The free version has a limited number of queries, so depending on the popularity of your site/software, you may in fact need to pay.
I'm not sure how that works with the PHP API's but I guess it's the same. Best have a good read through on the developer site. :)
It appears you have two options - the eBay Acellerator Toolkit, or Services_Ebay.
Some good examples for Services_Ebay -
And the code thing I was saying about is known as a developer ID, or DevID.

that does sound good, but "Services_Ebay is PHP5-only" and PHPAT (the other one) sounds awful. I don't think my host has PHP5.
Thanks anyway, maybe I'll try using it or see if I can use a different language to use it.

You can see what version of php your host has if they don't tell you by sticking this in a php file by itself upload it to your server and run it.

Yeah know that one, was just hoping I could use a language to just read the line were "Current Bid" is output. Oh well.
I might try using another language to work with the API, hoping there's something better.
