random patterns

haha. out of everybody on earth i probably have the most computer trouble.

my problem today is that every day or two, my computer will just display a weird pattern. example:

it will do this at completely random times. and the computer still has full function but i just can't see what's going on. for instance, music will still play and i can seek through the song with my keyboard and click whatever i want with the mouse but i cannot see what's happening.

i suspect it either a weird virus kind of thing or a bad installation of XP.

Looks like a graphics adaptor problem or something....have you removed all malware from your computer as well as installed the latest graphics drivers?

oh my gosh, you're right. my video card has given me lots of problems in the past. i don't have any malware but i will definitely check up on the graphics drivers.

you can pick them up pretty cheaply as long as you don't require huge amounts of graphics power :D
