My tables in the left and right columns won't valign to the top of the columns...

I haven't really looked into great detail but I don't think tables are the way to go for your layout. Tables aren't meant for web design. To display data sure. Check out this link http://bonrouge.com/3c-hf-fixed.php

I know but tables are still common and that is what I know...

Well, murder is common should you do that? Also, your site's layout would be easy to accomplish with CSS.

well...I don't consider murder common...And I am coding this for someone with little css knowledge and he would like it coded with tables...
