remote desktop question

i have a small network set up here (2 pc) for my famile and i want to remote in to the other computer in the other room. but the remote connections says.
"the client could not connect to the remote computer. Remote connections might not be enables or the computer miaght be too busy to accept new connection. It is also possible that network problems are preventing your connection. Please try connecting agin later. If the problem continus to occur, contact your administor." i checked the servers on the other computer and evey thing dealing w/ remote was set to automatic. how can i remote in to this pc.

ps. i'm useing a linksys router

Got your firewalls set correctly?

I have winxp w/ sp2 and all the setting are allowed. remote desktop is turned.
w/ sp2 I checked all the options avaliable and it still dose not work as prevesly stated before. i forgot to tell u guys i eddited the firewall in the first post.

turn the firewalls off and see if it works...also how are you connecting? typing in the computer name or IP address? - it doesn't make much difference anyway. Are they on the same workgroup?
