What does everyone think of Longhorn's new name? I think it's pretty sucky to be honest! :rolleyes:

I prefer Longhorn. I'm from Texas and I'm a Texas Longhorn fan. Vista in spanish means "View" so I guess Windows View heh, sounds kinda funny.

Well Whistler was the code name for Windows XP, but I prefer the name XP. I prefer Longhorn to Vista, dunno why though.

Well, a rose by any other name would smell as sweet. Conversly poo by any other name still smells like poo. I think we'll just have to wait and see. :p

Yeah I don't like the name much, lonhorn has a better ring to the name.

it might just be getting used to the sound of it, like longhorn has become common and people have got used to it.

I was 11 (wooh...4 years has passed....:eek:) when XP came out, and I didn't really like the name of it but I've gotten used to it - maybe I'll get used to Vista.

well the name Vista has already been trade marked by another software company as far as i know, so no doubt Bill will be paying millions to them for the name or changing it. but it does sound rather g@y for a OS, vista was a cheapo Co-Op like grocery store when i was growing up!
