hi,
I have developed an application that is working fine in local network though i need to constantly after a period refresh.
I am using php and using Xampp for easiness and avoiding the burden of configuring the database server and Apache server and php application server.
I have installed the linux OS too and really appreciate it now and would like to have this box support some functions that would be of great boost for my need.
They are:-
1.* Web server
2.* Mail Server
3.* File Server
4.* Internet access including outlook.
5.* Mysql server ( I found it running already at boot time though initially I had to take a terminal and issue commands to invoke it)
6.* Print Server + scanner
I admit I am a new bie but can definiltely make thngs workin at this end if some body with expert in these could find some time for me.plz..plz..I request help atleast in setting up 1 and 4 ( at first).
Actually, I have a doubt and is my need

Can I make my system accessible in LAN to a system in my Hostel room.I have a broadband connection here and I believe it just reauires some public IP and internal IP mapping like wise ...I don't know much about this...***************************************************
Hoping I would get some kind people attentions and time for me.
