I need to know what area or language to study to learn how to build an online gambling site, like an online casino. I have never looked at programming before but have since became disabled and want a good way to learn other then going to collage. Any beginners books or links would be great. I don't expect to learn this over night but would like a chance to learn from a good source or sources. Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much in advance for your help :)

Hmm you would need something to store the users winnings. Then you would have to ask, if the gambling would be real or just for fun. Then another thing would be how would you allow users to join. I think any server side language might do well for this but if this a real thing, the thought of private information being taken well, I would go with trying to learn ASP or ASP.net your choice. Not sure of any books, I'm just making a suggestion.

Yes, this would be for real. I'm not totally sure what all is needed but I do know it needs to be totally secure and take alot of personal information. Plus it would have to be able to keep current statuses on bets ect.
Now my question is, is asp.net a language of it's own or does it require knowledge of another language to understand it?

1) http://www.asptutorial.info/
2) http://www.w3schools.com/aspnet/aspnet_intro.asp
3) http://www.w3schools.com/aspnet/default.asp
1 - ASP Tutorial I found quickly through google. If you can stand the pop-up's it seems like a good site to use for people who aren't use to coding
2 - The intorduction to what asp.net is
3 - the site with an asp.net tutorial on it.
cheers

Before I go to far, this is a question that needs to be asked. Most casino's have a download that takes care of all the numbers of games, sign up's/in's and credit information ect. Will asp.net create the actual program or will I need an aditional language and what will work with the asp.net if I need another language? I just need a good idea of what languages to study to get to a point where I can create what I'm after over time.
