This'll be another "what OS's better" thread :p

Anyway, I use Windows mainly, however at school I try to use macs as much as I can seeing as my own mac is buggered. In terms of Linux, my webserver has redhat linux which is pretty good ;)

I was only wondering coz at home we have Win98, Win95, Win3.1, WinXP, Win2000, Palm OS (on my Tungsten E), and Linux, and I wanted to see what other people like.

P.S. I forgot about WinME...

Win 3.1? For what earthly reason? I am just starting to experiment with Linux. Having an OS that is possible to boot from a single CD-R is remarkable.

In response to Windows ME, it's evil IMO :p

True, but no offence to Geoffers, but it does get a bit boring after a while. However it is good to discuss Operating Systems etc seeing as technology is changing all the time ;)

Okay so I'm on a linux livecd version, the Slax edition. It seems pretty handy. I think I might install it on my system and use dual boot or something. I still enjoy windows only because of the programs available for windows, like Dreamweaver, Photoshop. I have found a module that is supposed to be the equivalent for DW on linux. And the gimp well, I don't like the interface. Now if I could just get linux to recognize my external wireless card that would be great. So if any one knows how to do this on a Dlink wireless DL-630 card then if you can point me in the right direction.

Yea - load an OS including oft used programms and a proxy server onto a jump drive on your keychain - and then you might be a geek... :D
