I have recently brought a copy of Zone Labs Zone Alarm Security Suite, i works really well and i would recomend anyone buying it. However, i want to make sure that my computer is 100% hacker proof, would the system take 2 antivirus programmes running at the sametime. So would it be okat to install say AVG or another antivirus program. Also, could i do the same for ad-aware reovers and spyware killers?

Many Thanks.

1) "Hacker proof" computing would be acomplished by having a decent HARDWARE firewall, as well as running a software firewall.
2) Having more than one AV client running it not advised as they will conflict.
3) NOD32 is one of the most effective AV clients around - www.nod32.com. It is fairly new, so I don't know how many people would have heard of it.

I don't want to say how good ZoneAlarm's anti virus software is...well I heard it was a load of twaddle, however I've never used it.

Thanks for that Wezel. Is NOD32 free, or is it software that you have to purchase?

After the 30 Days have ended, what is the fee to have an unlimited programme?

You get a yearly license for one year it is 23.00 for two years it is 35.00 and for three years it is 46.00. Apologise for saying it is free when it isnt.

No it isn't free...the trial is. It is well worth paying the money for - I was wondering whether to get AVG 7 Pro or eset's NOD32 - I'm thinking of getting Nod now.

I heard ZoneAlarm AV is rubbish.

Get yourself a decent hardware firewall..wait didn't your router have one built in?

No, the rooter doesn't have a firewall, the reason being that my dads company got it for him, so that he could do work at home, (this results in it being the cheapest around, they probobly found it in a skip!). I might have a firewall but i cant find the password to acsess the rooter. I know the ip address, but i need to find a way to hac......i mean find out the password. :o

Hardware firewalls are much more reliable than software ones IMO....why would you want to find the admin password for your router (I'll take a look when I come round ;))

If the password on the router has not been set...
Most router's default password is admin...

Leave the userName field blank and enter admin in lowercase into the password field...

If a password has been set and it has been forgotten you can use the reset button to completely reset the router configuration including returning the password to its default... Be aware, this will erase all your setup info...

If you're looking to hack your dads router without his knowledge...
You're on the wrong forum and is frowned upon here...
