View Full Version : Removing space around <h4> tags...

Well first off, in my nav pane, I am using <h4> elements to organize the links a little more. Such as put a <h4> tag in, and then my list underneath, then another <h4> tag. In FireFox, the h4 tag looks normal, but in IE, the header looks about twice the size bigger. Any reason for this?

And my main question is, the <li>'s are spaced evenly, but the <h4>'s have this huge space underneath them. Is there a way to get rid of the space surrounding header elements?.

Yes you need to use CSS

<style type="text/css">
h4 {
margin:0;
padding:0;
}
</style>
That goes in your head tags. Why are you using headers for you links? Trying to make them stick out to SE's?

Thanks. That worked. I'm not using the headers for my links. I am using them just to separate the list of links. Kind of like a general description of the links.

i.e.

<h4>Company Information</h4>
<ul>
<li>Managers Schedule</li>
<li>Clients in Office</li>
</ul>

Okay gotcha. Glad that worked.
