This display problem is apprently only occurring on a PC using IE. But I have seen this same display issue ona Mac using an older version of Safari.

I will explain what is occurring, but it will much easier to take a look at this
screenshot (http://www.apexwebdesign.com/dropdown_bug.gif) of the problem.

SCREENSHOT:

Web page setup:
Using a flash navigation for the actual "button" graphics. This, in turn, uses a Javascript/DHTML for the DropDown menus display. On a web page that has any type of FORM button/element (i.e.: Option Selector, Submit button, etc.) when you mouseover the "Flash" button (triggering the JS for the DropDown), the DropDown menu is behind the FORM button/element.

Has anyone seen this before? ANY help is appreciated.

My educated guess is that the problem is in the CSS... some type of "container" issue. However, since this problem is so specific, before I begin trying to fix this, I'm hoping to avoid hearing that this is a real bug caused by IE and there is no fix for this. I'm really hoping that this is not the case.

Thanks.

The problem is those are objects and not part of the browser so it has no control over them. Read this link (http://dotnetjunkies.com/WebLog/jking/archive/2003/07/21/488.aspx) for more info on a possible fix.

But only Windows IE (of the modern browsers) is affected - you shouldn't have this problem with Safari, or anything else.
