Getting the active element question !

Hi

i want to get the active element (the form control which user are using : button , textarea , etc )

In IE , we can use document.activeElement , but in Netscape and Firefox , i don't know how to get the active element .

Can someone help me :)

I try elementfrompoint but it doens't work in Netscape and Firefox :(
