Just been reading up on the huge amounts of lighting equipment etc being used for the Live 8 concert in Hyde Park - being interested in theatre lighting myself I found that very interesting ;)

Hi,
Who actually cares weazel.
Please get all the facts before you make remarks like that Danny. I am interested in the theatre's technical side, and this spans to outdoor events as well. There are a huge number of people who share my interest, so I think before you go and make remarks like that Danny make sure you have all the facts and don't make remarks which plainly show your ignorance for the whole subject.
Sorry if it sounds harsh, I know you are a friend of mine, but I need to make it quite clear that I don't like people making remarks like that when they can't be bothered to see the whole side of things.
Jamie.

I will make remarks whenever I want to. You have got to be pretty sad to be intersted in lighting you press a switch and the lights come on wow! amazing!

It's not just about that, creativity is a huge part of it.
...And the skills demanded of the technicians to actually produce something that will run seamlessly during realtime.

Jamie: shouldn't you be hanging out on street corners getting wasted on cheap cider, intimidating passers by and earning your A.S.B.O?
All this lighting stuff sounds a bit sad to me really - I mean where's it all gonna lead? Ok so you could end up working with people like Coldplay, Pink Floyd, The Who, Joss Stone (yum) Or you could end up working with a top photographer as a lighting expert on supermodel photoshoots - sounds crap to me!
I dunno mate, the sooner you get into 'normal' teenage interests - the better ;)

I really wouldn't call webdesign a normal teenage hobby, but I've seen some impressive works by teenagers here.
So he likes stage lightings. Is that any reason to call him strange? No, at least I think not.

When I was a teenager, stage management, lighting and sound was my main hobby - you gonna call me sad? Maybe you'd like to step outside with that
Seriously though - what's going on here? Why attack someone for professing an interest in something you don't share? You wanna know what's sad - if the only way you can make yourself feel good is by making someone else feel bad - that is deeply sad.

That's what I'm annoyed about...he doesn't share my interest yet mocks me, great...maybe someone should start ripping me because I hate football ;) I admit, I haven't had as much experience as some of the people I know who do this kind of thing, but I still am very interested in it..
Gary, I don't want an asbo :D
