I have been in the planning and developing phase of a website project for a month now. It is a voluntary website organisation that works together to aim to produce a high quality website about Football Manager 2005 (a football management simulation PC game).

Our main php coder is extremely busy for the forseeable future, thus we wish to acquire the help of other php programmer.

The website aims to reach 1million hits per month. Yes this is ambitious, but through the planning so far, it is definately possible if we work hard. We have an array of content ready for launch, however, the design needs a system to go with it. And hopefully that is where one of you lot could help.

I know you're probably thinking I am some jack-*** who is coming here just for one post to advertise his website, but that can't be further from the truth.

I was given this forum URL by a member who said people on here would probably be willing to help. I hope thatis true!

Any questions or enquiries, and I will be here all night:)

Although I do not consider this spam/self promotion you still need to watch your language in our forums. If this is a paid work offer then it this should be in our Paid Work Offers forum.

Er, ok....

Only paid work offers and requests go in the paid work offers and requests forum. They did not inidicate if this is a paid position. And based on this part of their post:

It is a voluntary website organisation

I would venture to say that it is not.

You venture correctly Spookster

Am I unlikely to recieve any offers of help from here considering that paid work is knocking about?

There are always people willing to offer up help to that degree for free in the course of building up their own portfolio or their own knowledge.

Yer that's how we lost our last PHP programmer. He went from our website straight into a 30,000 pa job and he is only 19!

So guys, if you can help, it would help your portfolio because in the UK we are quite industry reknowned.
