I need a way to get a free dynamic dns host for my ip address, but for a different port (not 80) I've tried a few things but they don't work.

Dynamic DNS?Digger3000 06-27-2005, 12:59 PM I need a way to get a free dynamic dns host for my ip address, but for a different port (not 80) I've tried a few things but they don't work. JamieR 06-27-2005, 03:33 PM You tried EasyDNS (http://www.easydns.com/dynamicdns.php3) ? Digger3000 06-27-2005, 03:52 PM Did I mention it has to be free? JamieR 06-27-2005, 03:58 PM Oh yeah, oops :o Anyway, found this: http://www.dnsexit.com/Direct.sv?cmd=dynDns dunno if that will be any use to you :p Digger3000 06-27-2005, 04:24 PM No that still requires that I buy a domain. schleppel 06-28-2005, 03:34 PM You can sign up at no-ip.com and get port forwarding. It just redirects you.no-ip.com to [your ip]:[your port], and it will also redirect you.no-ip.com/somefolder/somepage.html to [your ip]:[your port]/somefolder/somepage.html If that makes sence. I know that. And I tried that. But it puts an advertisement on it. Digger3000 06-28-2005, 05:25 PM http://ath.cx/ That sent me to dyndns.org which doesn't have port forwarding. schleppel 06-28-2005, 06:05 PM Where does it put an advertisement? :s Digger3000 06-28-2005, 06:47 PM At the bottom. Plus is changes the title on ever page. I want ever page to have its own title. |
