Hi all,

It's not done yet, but I've built myself a little website. At this point, the main thing I need is for people to visit it and just let me know if everything's working.

I've tested it extensively, and I think it's good to go, but I want to make sure.

If anything looks out of whack, please let me know, as well as what screen size you have, resolution, browser, and all the usual crap.

Oh, and all comments & critiques are welcome!

viewing in mozilla & IE6 at 1152xwhatever

everything looks right and appears to work correctly.

3 little things that jump out at me though.

1) the horizontal navigation. Minus the rollovers, the whole strip doesn't seem to fit at all. just really looks out of place. And the links themselves are not centered at all. Maybe they are not supposed to be but since the rest of page is sort of "blocked" in they look awkward.

2) the HR or top border of the footer. if you made the footer wider so that the bar strecthed into the purle right side and then made the bar (border) the same shade of purple so that it faded into thte right side it might look better IMO.

3) the FF logo. Its a big clunky square. Since it's sitting on a flat color can you make all the whitespace around the circle the same shade of purple so it "fits" better?

I can understand that. Yes, all that's intended, but perhaps it should be centered. I'll mull it over.

It might. That's certainly worth looking into.

How about now? Better? I think so. Good idea.

It's overlapping? What are you viewing with? Resolution, browser, etc, please?

And what in the nav is "bright"? There are no bright colors anywhere on the site that I know of. I specifically avoided "bright".

Thanks for your input.

That'll do.

I like your sites, especially CARS! Nice work.

Ok, based on suggestions from communities all over the web, I've made some changes.

Several people didn't like the FF logo as it was (square with a white BG). I've now changed it so that it is integrated seamlessly into the gray BG. Better?

Several people said that the Google search field was too large and overlapped to the right on certain resolutions. I resized it. Better now?

Nearly everyone hated the old RED text because it was hazy and hard to read against the gradient BG. I changed all the text to white and increased line-height so it's a little less cramped. Better now?

Still working on other things, but what's the verdict in the meantime?

Thanks, everyone! This has been invaluable.

White text is much better to read now, but I think that background is a bit... eurgh. :( The colours clash a bit.

Overall, it's okay, although as mentioned before I don't think the menu fits in too well. Would be good to keep the oriental kind of theme running throughout.

Layout is nice though. :)
