EXE files won't download - IE 6.0 problem

Ever since I downloaded Internet Explorer 6.0, I've been unable to download any .exe files. I don't know what could possible be wrong, because I changed nothing with my computer besides the fact that I upgraded from IE 5.something to 6.0. When I click to download an .exe file it will just bring me to a screen with the "image image" (look at the attached screenshot to see what I mean).

have you installed any imagin programs that may have mucnhed your exe files or somrthing. or get a download manager like DAP and integrate it into to IE and that might help

interesting problem. Check windows update for patches & updates to 6.0- like the IE 6.0 SP1 (Service Pack 1).

Aside from that, what happens if you right-click on a link to the .exe and select "save target as" ? Will it let you get the file that way?
