How would I represent a new line in the pattern for my regular expression? I'm converting a big text file into records for a database... so lets just say I need to be able to recognize a paragraph... how do I do that?

Ok... i'm pretty fed up :eek: at tryin to solve my problem... I now know that u can simlpy use \n but that has not put me closer to solving my problem.
Consider this:
1 Praise to the Lord
1
Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation!
O my soul, praise Him, for He is thy health and salvation!
All ye who hear, now to His temple draw near;
Join ye in glad adoration!
2
Praise to the Lord, Who o'er all things so wondrously reigneth,
Shieldeth thee under His wings, yea, so gently sustaineth!
Hast thou not seen how thy desires e'er have been
Granted in what He ordaineth?
3
Praise to the Lord, who doth prosper thy work and defend thee;
Surely His goodness and mercy here daily attend thee.
Ponder anew what the Almighty can do,
If with His love He befriend thee.
Thats a hymn.. how can I write a regular expression that it will just pick up the different verses based on the spaces in between... as in
all of
1
Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation!
O my soul, praise Him, for He is thy health and salvation!
All ye who hear, now to His temple draw near;
Join ye in glad adoration!
will make one verse...
And that would be a regular expression based on the spaces before and after the verse and NOT based on whether there is a number there indicating what verse it is.
