I am calculating this variable below to get the V.A.T (Value Added Tax) for Great Britain - which is 17.5%

vat = (cint(the_agency_markup)/47)*7

Dividing by 47 then multiplying by 7 gives you 17.5%.

Does anyone know of a DB that will hold the caluclation values for other countries, ie. germany..

Divide by 47 then multiply by 7 :confused:

To find out what 17.5% of something is, multiply it by 0.175, surely?

As to the other countries, I guess a thorough Google might help but they don't really have VAT do they? It's all fancy foreign stuff ;)
